LBCC Police Offer ‘Doing Something Right’ Rewards

The Long Beach City College Police officers are on the lookout, and not just for suspicious activities.

They are looking for students, faculty and staff engaging in crime prevention, safe driving and safety awareness behavior on campus. According to Long Beach Police Dept. Lt. Jeff Liberman, anyone observed “doing something right” will receive a gift card for the LBCC campus bookstore or food court.

LBCC Bookstore Manager Dana Heathcott and Food Court Manager Dave McDonald donated $400 worth of gift cards to the LBCC Police Section on March 1 toward this effort.

“This outreach initiative is intended to promote collaboration between campus public safety officers and the college stakeholders to help make LBCC the safest community college in the nation,” Liberman said.
